Put the dairy back into foods for lower blood pressure

For decades now low or no-fat dairy products have been recommended as foods for lower blood pressure. But this policy is totally misguided. Skim milk loses not only its fat but all its other nutrients including vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, potassium and beneficial amino acids.

Not all fats are bad. Dairy fats contain amino acids that are very good for the body. Dairy also contains natural bio cultures which help digestion. The removal of these through processing is the main reason for lactose intolerance, which has become unfairly associated with milk. Whole, natural milk is easily digested.

Modern dairy processing is an abomination. Basically what they do is remove the fat and nutrients only to add them back as supplements. We’ve all seen “calcium fortified” milk but unadulterated milk has all the calcium need in natural form.
