Traditional custom built homes
Modular homes are homes that consist of multiple sections which are fabricated in a remote facility and then transported to the construction site. The modules are then assembled into a single house using either cranes and trucks.Modular homes resemble traditional custom built homes. The main variation is that these homes are fabricated in industrial scale facilities and assembled on the site. This saves effort and time since work on the building begins in the facility during the time when the site preparation work is being performed.Generally, modular dwellings are constructed to local state or council laws, so dwellings manufactured in a given fabrication facility will differ in building levels based on the final location of the parts. Steel and/or wood framing are usual materials for constructing Modular Homes. Modular house designs may be adapted for local regulations. For e.g., homes built for typhoon prone places may have protective bracing in-built to meet local building codes.
