Using Airsoft Guns for Training
I’m a policeman on a college campus, and while some people may think pretty low of us and call us rent a cops or amateurs, we are actual policemen assigned to a specific location. A few months ago, we had a special training op in one of the dormitories with a scenario of a man with a gun loose in the halls. Our job was to get him out.
We don’t want to rush in with guns drawn on one of our own and risk injury, so our captian bought these lifelike airsoft guns to use instead. They shoot little plastic BB’s or small paintballs and look and feel like the guns we carry everyday. The training op was successful, and the guns were fun to play with.
